Dufus is a lovable bumpkin with an interesting take on life.

Why not bring in Dufus to walk the parade route before the parade starts and entertain the waiting crowd warming them up for what's to come. Dufus can even arrange to bring along some of his friends to handle larger parade routes.

When the parade catches up to Dufus, he will just join in and continue to entertain until the end of the route and while in the parade, he will keep an eye ot for those uncomfortable breaks in the parade and move in to entertain in the gap until things get going again.
